Anyways, Web 2.0, in my opinion, is just a way of grouping a bunch of technologies that have been around for ages (ie: AJAX) under a single umbrella term that marketers and idiots can bandy around in order to sound cool! It's a buzz word... like the use of dot com was in the 90s and Flash has been for the last 5 years (or so) :)

Web 2.0 actually refers to using certain design elements to achieve a resulting effect.
